Abstractions is a rumination on beauty, impermanence and a change of season. Featuring expressive, impressionistic solo piano as its grounding, it combines ambient electronics to tell a story of the shifts between reality (piano) and fantasy (electronics) while the use of improvised, spontaneous, abstract composition gives the record its perspective. This collection is inspired by the coming of Spring, the beauty of the California Central Coast and an ongoing, deepening meditation practice.
